Several people are reportedly injured at the university’s Charlotte campus and the shooter is believed to be in custody.

At least three people have been shot and injured on the University of North Carolina campus in Charlotte, according to local media reports. No fatalities have yet been reported, and the suspect is believed to be in custody.

The university’s emergency management office issued an alert at 5:50pm local time instructing students and faculty to “Run, Hide, Fight” and “Secure yourself immediately.”
